Urban Enrichment: Opportunities That Shape Lives

Urban Enrichment is not another after-school program. It is a vehicle for academic and social change. UE makes it possible for elementary school students from low-income families to attend the high-quality artistic and athletic enrichment programs that already exist in New York City. Participation in these activities fosters personal development and improves classroom performance. Unlike local after-school programs, UE seeks to enroll children in programs outside of their home neighborhoods, creating opportunities for students and parents of different backgrounds to learn, interact and grow together.
